Lost Ignition Key
All vehicle keys (subsequently ordered keys as well) are already pre-coded to a specific vehicle from the factory and can only be adapted to this vehicle. Additional vehicle keys must be ordered specifying the correct VIN and then the new key must be adapted to the engine control module J362.

NOTE: The function "New identity when replacing all components" must be called up before replacing the lock set or the control modules.

Ignition Key, Adapting

NOTE: If new or additional ignition keys are required, they must be adapted to the immobilizer control module.

Adapting the ignition key to the anti-theft immobilizer control module J362:
- Connect Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051A.
- In Vehicle Diagnostic, Testing and Information System VAS 5051A, select operating mode "Guided Fault Finding".
- Using the "Go To" button, select "Functions/Component selection" and the following menu options in sequence:
- Body
- Electrical Equipment
- 01 - On Board Diagnostic (OBD) capable systems
- Immobilizer IV download
- Anti-theft Immobilizer functions
- Ignition key adaptation
