HID Headlamps Assembly Overview
• After performing work which can affect headlamp adjustment, check headlamp adjustment and adjust headlamps if necessary.
1 Ventilation hose
• on headlamp
2 Left Headlamp Beam Adjustment Motor (V48) and Right Headlamp Beam Adjustment Motor (V49)
• Headlamp manufacturer: AL (Automotive Lighting)
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Headlamp Range Control Positioning Motor, Hella ] Headlamp Range Control Positioning Motor, Hella
• For the first removal of Left Headlamp Beam Adjustment Motor (V48) and Right Headlamp Beam Adjustment Motor (V49) requires a repair set
3 Screws
• for Left Headlamp Beam Adjustment Motor (V48) and Right Headlamp Beam Adjustment Motor (V49)
4 Cap
5 Igniter for gas discharge lamps (N195)
6 Lamp locking device
• for Left High Intensity Gas Discharge (HID) Lamp ( L13) and Right High Intensity Gas Discharge (HID) Lamp (L14)
7 Left High Intensity Gas Discharge (HID) Lamp ( L13) and Right High Intensity Gas Discharge (HID) Lamp (L14)
• Type D2S, 35W
• Replacing, refer to => [ HID Headlamp Bulbs ] HID Headlamp Bulbs
8 Bolt
• 4 Nm
• on headlamp at top
9 Headlamp
• Removing and installing, refer to=> [ Headlamps, without Headlamp Washer System, GTI ]
• Correcting installation position of headlamp, refer to=> [ Headlamps, Correcting Installation Position ] Headlamps, Correcting Installation Position
• Servicing headlamp mounting tabs, refer to=> [ Headlamps Mounting Tabs, Repairing ] Headlamps Mounting Tabs, Repairing
10 Headlamp Range Control Module (J431)
• Removing and installing, refer to=> [ Headlamp Range Control Positioning Motor ] Headlamp Range Control Positioning Motor
• Coding, refer to => [ Headlamp Range Control Module, Coding ] Testing and Inspection
• If Headlamp Range Control Module (J431) is coded, basic setting of headlamps must be performed after coding the control module.
11 Left Front Level Control System Sensor (G78)
• Removing and installing. refer to => [ Headlamp Range Control Positioning Motor ] Headlamp Range Control Positioning Motor
• Checking, refer to=> [ Level Control System Sensor, Checking ] Testing and Inspection
12 Left Rear Level Control System Sensor (G76)
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Headlamp Range Control Positioning Motor ] Headlamp Range Control Positioning Motor
• Checking, refer to=> [ Level Control System Sensor, Checking ] Testing and Inspection
13 Adjustment bushing
• Correcting installation position of headlamp, refer to=> [ Headlamps, Correcting Installation Position ] Headlamps, Correcting Installation Position
14 Bolt
• 4 Nm

15 Left High-intensity Gas Discharge Lamp Control Module (J343) and Right High-intensity Gas Discharge Lamp Control Module (J344)
• not capable of On Board Diagnostic (OBD)

• for Left High Beam Headlamp (M30) and Right High Beam Headlamp (M32)
