Connection Diagram, Fuel Hoses in Engine Compartment


When installing fuel lines and hoses, ensure there is clearance to other components or to the body. Contact can cause leaks.






1 Test Connection

• Tighten the plug to 27 Nm.

• For cylinder bank 2.

• Not available on all vehicles

2 Fuel Supply Line

• From the connection on the fuel filter cover => [ (Item 18) Fuel Supply Line ] Description and Operation.

• White or with a white mark.

• Make sure it is tight.

3 Fuel Return Line

• To the connection on the fuel filter cover => [ (Item 17) Fuel Return Line ] Description and Operation.

• Blue or with a blue mark.

• Make sure it is tight.

4 Fuel Pipe

• Secured to the intake manifold for cylinder bank 2.

5 Fuel Rail

• For cylinder bank 2.

6 Test Connection

• Tighten the plug to 27 Nm.

• For cylinder bank 1.

7 Fuel Rail

• For cylinder bank 1

8 Tandem Pump

• For cylinder bank 1.

• With the vacuum pump.

• Tandem and fuel pump, checking. Refer to => [ Tandem and Fuel Pump, Checking ] Tandem and Fuel Pump, Checking.

• Tandem and fuel pump removing and installing. Refer to => [ Tandem and Fuel Pump ] Tandem and Fuel Pump.

• Must not be disassembled.

9 Fuel Temperature Sensor (G81)

• For cylinder banks 1 and 2.

10 Fuel Pump

• For cylinder bank 2.

• Tandem and fuel pump, checking. Refer to => [ Tandem and Fuel Pump, Checking ] Tandem and Fuel Pump, Checking.

• Tandem and fuel pump removing and installing. Refer to => [ Tandem and Fuel Pump ] Tandem and Fuel Pump.

• Must not be disassembled.
