Engine, Securing to the Engine and Transmission Holder (VAS 6095)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Engine and Transmission Holder (VAS 6095)

• Universal Mounting (VAS 6095/1)

• Bracket for V10 TDI Engine, Touareg/Phaeton (VAS 6095/1-2)

• To perform repair work and for mounting the V10 engine, the engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095) must be modified with the universal mounting (VAS 6095/1).

- Install the bracket for V10 TDI engine, Touareg/Phaeton (VAS 6095/1-2) to the side of the cylinder block. (see the sticker on the bracket)

- Hand tighten all the bolts while the engine is hanging on the shop crane (VAS 6100) for the brackets for the engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095).

- Tighten the bolts for the bracket for V10 TDI engine, Touareg/Phaeton (VAS 6095/1-2) to the cylinder block to 50 Nm.

- Tighten the bolts for the universal mounting (VAS 6095/1) and the bracket for V10 TDI engine, Touareg/Phaeton (VAS 6095/1-2).

- Then lower the engine from the shop crane (VAS 6100).
