Engine, Installing

When doing any repair work, especially in the engine compartment, pay attention to the following due to clearance issues:

Route lines of all types (for example, fuel, hydraulic, Evaporative Emission (EVAP), coolant, refrigerant, brake fluid and vacuum) and electrical wiring so that the original path is followed.

To prevent damage to the lines, make sure there is sufficient clearance to all moving or hot components.

Installation is performed in reverse order. When doing this note the following:

- Make sure the centering sleeves for the engine to transmission are installed in the cylinder block. Install if necessary.

- Reconnect all lines, hoses and connections that were disconnected for the removal sequence.

- Electrical connections and routing.

- Connect the Air Conditioning (A/C) lines.

- Top off the fluid level for the power steering. Refer to Fluid Capacity Tables Rep. Gr. 03.

- Fill the coolant. Refer to => [ Draining and Filling ] Draining and Filling.

- Check the headlamp adjustment, correct if necessary. Refer to Maintenance Procedures Rep. Gr. 03 Maintenance Procedures.

- Perform a test drive and check all Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memories. Refer to "Guided Fault Finding" in the vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051 or VAS 5052.
