Radiator Cooling Fan: Service and Repair

Fan Shroud and Fans

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (5-50 Nm) (V.A.G 1331)

Removing

- Remove the noise insulation.

- Remove the front coolant pipe from the fan shroud.

- Unclip the coolant hose from the lock carrier.

- Remove the front bumper.

- Bring the lock carrier into the service position. Procedures

- Disconnect the fan connector and free up the wiring.

- Loosen the fasteners - arrows - and remove the fan shroud upward.





Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal, noting the following:

- Electrical connections and routing.

- Check the headlamp position and adjust if necessary.
