Generator, Removing Delphi and Installing Hitachi

Only generators by Hitachi are delivered as replacement parts. The Delphi generator is no longer produced.

The following components should be replaced when converting:






• Before order replacement parts required for repair, check in parts catalog whether the valid replacement part numbers were replaced by subsequent replacement part numbers by the editorial deadline. The current valid replacement part numbers can be found in the parts catalog.

1 Generator, Hitachi (07Z 903 021 E)
2 Coolant pipe/angled piece/return (07Z 121 132 H)
3 B+ wire (07Z 971 349 B)
4 For engine code AYH coolant pipe/supply (07Z 121 132 L) , for engine code BLE coolant pipe/supply (07Z 121 132 G) Not replaced in the US/Canadian market

- Remove generator. Refer to one of the following: (BWF)=> [ Generator ] Generator,=> [ Generator with Torsion Elastic Clutch ] Generator with Torsion Elastic Clutch or => [ Generator with Hard Rubber Disc Clutch ] Generator with Hard Rubber Disc Clutch.

- Replace B+ wire. Refer to => [ B+ Cable Mount on Generator ] Procedures.

- Install generator. Refer to one of the following: (BWF)=> [ Generator ] Generator, => [ Generator with Torsion Elastic Clutch ] Generator with Torsion Elastic Clutch or => [ Generator with Hard Rubber Disc Clutch ] Generator with Hard Rubber Disc Clutch.
