Transmission, Installing

Installation is basically the reverse order of removal.

- Before installing the transmission, make sure that torque converter is correctly inserted in the transmission. Refer to => [ Torque Converter, Installing ] Torque Converter, Installing.

- Check the installed dimension - a -. Refer to => [ Torque Converter Installed Dimension ] Torque Converter, Installing.





CAUTION!
If the engine and transmission are connected forcefully when the converter is installed incorrectly, damage to the transmission and converter results.

- Therefore, when tightening the transmission to the engine, always ensure that the converter is rotating freely and is not jammed.

- Check the adjustment of the selector lever cable and adjust if necessary. Refer to => [ Selector Lever Cable, Checking and Adjusting ] Adjustments.

After installation, check the Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) level, top off if necessary. Refer to => [ Automatic Transmission Fluid Level, Checking and Filling ] Automatic Transmission Fluid Level, Checking and Filling.

Check the vehicle alignment.
