Radiator Cooling Fan: Service and Repair

Coolant Fan with Support

Removing

- Remove front noise insulation - 1 -.





CAUTION!
The cooler fan can start by itself. Therefore, disconnect electrical connectors before touching fan mount.

- Disconnect electrical connectors - 2 - and - 3 -.

- Remove bolts - 1, 4, 5, 6 - for the fan support.





- Release both securing clamps - 1 - from below and pull these in - direction of arrow -. Move brake system vacuum pump slightly to side.

- Then release the securing devices on right and left of radiator using a screwdriver - arrow - and lift the complete fan support upward and out.





Installing

Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

- Press fan support onto radiator until it engages.
