HID Left Headlamp

HID Left Headlamp

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1331)

Removal

- Turn off the ignition and all electric consumers and remove the key.

- Remove headlamp. Refer to => [ Headlamps ] Headlamps.

- Move the lock carrier to the service position. Procedures

- Remove screws - arrows -.






- Disconnect connector - arrow -, at rear side of headlamp mount.






- Disconnect vacuum hose - 1 - and remove mounting bolts of vacuum reservoir - 2 -.






- Remove screws - arrows -.






- Remove headlamp mount.

Installation

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Tighten the bolts - arrows - on the headlamp mount to to the specification shown in => [ Fastener Tightening Specifications, Headlamp ] [1][2]Headlamp.






- Tighten the bolts - arrows - on the tail lamp mount to the specification shown in => [ Fastener Tightening Specifications, Headlamp ] [1][2]Headlamp.






- Check installation position of headlamp for uniform gap dimensions.

If headlamp has an uneven gap dimension to the body, installation position must be corrected. Refer to => [ Headlamps, Correcting Installation Position ] Headlamps, Correcting Installation Position.

- Check headlamp for function.

• If headlamp mount is removed, headlamp must always be adjusted after installation.

- Check the headlamp adjustment and correct it if necessary. Refer to Maintenance Procedures; Rep. Gr. 03.
