Exhaust System, Aligning

• Align the exhaust system when cold.

- Loosen the nuts - 3 and 4 - on the front clamping sleeve - 1 -.






- Align the front clamping sleeve - 1 - to the mark - A - on the front exhaust pipe - 2 - (the - arrow - faces in the direction of travel).

• For dimension - a -, refer to => [ Tightening Torque and Installed Dimension of the Clamping Sleeve ] Installed Position and Tightening Torque of the Clamping Sleeve.

• The bolts must be at the right and must not project beyond the lower edge of the clamping sleeve.

- Hand tighten the front nut - 3 - on the clamping sleeve.

- Push the exhaust system far enough forward so that the pretension at the retaining loop for rear muffler equals 15 to 17 mm - a -.






- In this position, evenly tighten the nuts - 3 and 4 - on the clamping sleeve. Tightening specification, refer to => [ Tightening Torque and Installed Dimension of the Clamping Sleeve ] Installed Position and Tightening Torque of the Clamping Sleeve.
