Disconnect the battery before removing components marked with a **.





1 Dash Panel **

2 Center Vents

Removing vents, refer to => [ Front Center Vents ] Front Center Vents.

3 Air Duct To Right Side Vent

4 Passenger Vent

Removing vents, refer to => [ Driver and Front Passenger Side Vents ] Driver and Front Passenger Side Vents.

5 Fresh Air and Heated Air Controls

With fresh air/recirculating door switch (E159).

Removing controls, refer to => [ Display and Control Unit ] Display and Control Unit.

On vehicles with heated seats also with heated driver seat adjuster (E94) and heated front passenger seat adjuster (E95).

6 Fresh/Recirculating Air Door Motor (V154)

Removing, refer to => [ Fresh/Recirculated Air Door Motor V154 ] Fresh/Recirculated Air Door Motor V154.

7 Right Footwell Vent

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Front Passenger Footwell Right Vent ] Front Passenger Footwell Right Vent.

8 Fresh Air Blower (V2)

Removing, refer to => [ Fresh Air Blower V2 ] Service and Repair.

9 Fresh Air Blower Series Resistor With Fuse (N24)

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Fresh Air Blower Series Resistor with Fuse N24 ] Service and Repair.

11 Dust and Pollen Filter

With or without an activated charcoal filter element

Different versions depending on the vehicle version and equipment level. Refer to Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).

Follow the replacement intervals. Refer to => Maintenance Procedures.

Only in vehicles without air duct to vent installed in center console at rear.

13 Connection

For air duct, rear vent

It is necessary to first remove the center console in order to remove the connection.

19 Adapter for Controls

20 Heater Core

Change the coolant after replacing the heater core.
