Halogen Headlamps

• Before working on headlamps, always switch off headlamps and move ignition key or start button to position 0 (preliminary engaged position).

• Familiarity with the function and operation of the lighting system is essential in the event of customer complaints.

The static cornering lamp illuminates on tight curves (curve radius less than 500 m (1540 ft.) or when turning while the turn signal is switched on and the vehicle speed is less than 50 km /h (31 mph).

DTC Recognition and Display

Vehicle electrical system control is equipped with On Board Diagnostics (OBD) capabilities which assists in troubleshooting headlamps.

The "Guided Fault Finding" function is to be used for troubleshooting of the systems as described in => [ Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information Systems ] Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information Systems.

• After performing work which can affect headlamp adjustment, check headlamp adjustment and adjust headlamps if necessary. Refer to => Maintenance Procedures.






1 Adjustment Bushings

• Correcting installation position of headlamp, refer to => [ Headlamps, Correcting Installation Position ] Headlamps, Correcting Installation Position.

2 Screws

• 8 Nm

3 Cap

4 Left Low Beam Headlamp (M29) and Right Low Beam Headlamp (M31)

• Lamp H7U 12V, 55 W

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Low Beam Headlamp Bulb ] Low Beam Headlamp Bulb.

5 Headlamp Beam Adjustment Motor Mounting Bolts

• 1.5 Nm

6 Left Headlamp Beam Adjustment Motor (V48) and Right Headlamp Beam Adjustment Motor (V49)

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Headlamp Beam Adjustment Motor, Halogen Headlamp ] Headlamp Beam Adjustment Motor, Halogen Headlamp.

7 Bolt

• 3 Nm

8 Left High Beam Headlamp Bulb (M30) and Right High Beam Headlamp Bulb (M32)

• Lamp H7U 12V, 55 W

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ High Beam Headlamp Bulb ] High Beam Headlamp Bulb.

9 Left Parking Lamp (M1) and Right Parking Lamp (M3)

• Lamp 12V, W 5 W

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Parking Lamp Bulb ] Service and Repair.

10 Left Stationary Cornering Lamp (M51) or Right Stationary Cornering Lamp (M52)

• Lamp H7U 12V, 55 W

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Static Cornering Lamp Bulb ] Service and Repair.
