Hood Latch, Adjusting

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque wrench 5 to 50 Nm (V.A.G 1331)

• The illustration shows the latch removed, but it actually remains installed.






- Remove the radiator grille for vehicles through January 2011. Refer to => [ Radiator Grille through January 2011 ] Radiator Grille through January 2011 or vehicles from January 2011, refer to => [ Radiator Grille from January 2011 ] Radiator Grille from January 2011.

- Loosen but do not remove the bolts - 3 and 4 -. Now the gap - arrow b - and the height - arrow a - of the hood can be corrected or adjusted.

- Tighten the bolts - 3 and 4 - to the tightening specification: 12 Nm.
