Vehicle Key Battery

Removing

Press the side button - 2 - on the ignition key - 3 - and remove the emergency key - 4 -.






- Remove the cap - 1 - forcefully from the ignition key - 3 - in the direction - arrow - of the side button - 2 -.

- Release the upper section of the ignition key retainer - 2 - from the ignition key - 1 -.






- Remove - arrow - the upper section of the ignition key with the trim removal wedge (3409) - 3 -.

- Raise the battery - 3 - slightly with a small screwdriver - 2 -.






- Remove the battery - 3 - in the - direction of the arrow - out of the mount - 4 -.

Removing

• Before installing the battery, one of the buttons must be pushed.

• The container now recognizes the new battery.

• Adapt the remote control key after installing the battery.

Note polarity and installation position of battery when installing.






- Install the battery - 2 -, with the positive pole facing upward, tilting it - arrow - into the mount - 3 - for the ignition key - 1 - (the positive pole is marked in the housing).

- Gently press and lock the battery into the ignition key.

- Lock in the upper section of the ignition key in the ignition key without damaging the seal.

- Slide the cover onto the ignition key and guide the emergency key into the ignition key.

Adapting Ignition Keys to Remote Control

Use the Vehicle Diagnostic, Testing and Information System to adapt remote control keys.

- Select "Guided Fault Finding" on the Vehicle Diagnosis Tester.

- Select "Functions/Component Selection" using the GO TO button.

- Select "Guided Fault Finding" on the Vehicle Diagnosis Tester.

- Select "Functions/Component Selection" using the GO TO button.
