Exhaust System: Description and Operation

Exhaust System

When doing any repair work, especially in the engine compartment, pay attention to the following due to clearance issues:

Route all lines and wires in their original locations.

Make sure the wires have enough clearance to all moving or hot components.

After exhaust system installation work, ensure the system is spaced far enough away from the body. If necessary, loosen the double clamp on the front exhaust pipes and align the pipes again.

Do not use sealants containing silicone. Traces of silicone components which are sucked into the engine are not burned there, and they will damage the oxygen sensors.

Replace the self-locking nuts.
