HID Headlamps

HID Headlamps

The AFS function (pivoting the cornering lamp depending on the curve radius) is only active when the vehicle speed is greater than 10 km/h (6 mph). When the vehicle is stopped, the headlamps are in the basic position so the light/dark border can be adjusted manually. A tester is not needed for this headlamp adjustment.

The cornering function (turning with the turn signal activated and vehicle speed between 10 and 40 km/h) (6 and 25 mph) is only active in conjunction with the rain/light recognition sensor (G397) when it is dark. The rain/light recognition sensor in the mirror base must be covered to test it.
