Wheels and Tires: Service and Repair

Tire Dismounting, When Filled with Sealant

Tires which have been filled or sealed with tire sealant, must be drained before removing the tire from the wheel.

Prevent the tire sealant from making contact with eyes and skin.

It is harmful to health, can cause eye irritation and allergies.

Wear protective gloves and glasses when removing the tire.

- Set the wheel on an even surface.

- Remove the valve stem insert.

- Carefully drill a hole in the tire in the area of the shoulder using a suitable drill.

- Hold the wheel over a drip tray and allow the tire sealant to drain.

- Remove the tire from the rim.
