Steering Column Bracket

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (5-50 Nm) (V.A.G 1331)

Removing

- Remove the steering column. Refer to => [ Steering Column ] Steering Column.

- Remove the instrument cluster.

- Remove the bolt - arrow A -.






- Remove the bolts - arrows B - from the bracket on the body.

• The bolts - arrows B - are installed through the cross member.

- Remove the bolts - arrows - under the bracket.






- Remove the bolt - 1 - and remove the bracket from body.

Installing

- Install the bracket and bolts - arrows and 1 -.






- Install the bolts - arrows B -.






• The bolts - arrows B - are installed through the cross member.

- Install the bolt - arrow A -.

- Install the steering column. Refer to => [ Installing ] Steering Column.

- Install the instrument cluster.

- Perform the steering angle sensor basic setting using the vehicle diagnostic tester.
