Front Level Control System Sensors G78/G289, with Adaptive Chassis DCC

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Torque Wrench (5-50 Nm) (V.A.G 1331)

Removing

In order to be able to remove the left front level control system sensor, the steering wheel must be turned all the way to the right, this assures that there is enough clearance between the control arm and the stabilizer bar.

In order to be able to remove the right front level control system sensor, the steering wheel must be turned all the way to the left, this assures that there is enough clearance between the control arm and the stabilizer bar.

- Disconnect the connector.






- Remove the bolt and the nut.

- Remove the left or right front level control system sensor.

Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

The level control system sensor lever must point toward the vehicle exterior.

The threads on the vehicle level sensor must be installed into the front hole in the control arm. The tab on the vehicle level sensor retainer must lock into the rear hole in order to assure a correct installed position.

- Perform a basic setting on the adaptive chassis DCC. Refer to => [ Adaptive Chassis DCC, Basic Setting ] Testing and Inspection.

- If the vehicle is equipped with lane assist, then the directional stabilization assistance control module must be calibrated after performing the basic setting on the adaptive chassis DCC. Refer to => [ Lane Assist, Calibrating ] Lane Assist, Calibrating.

- Perform a headlamp basic setting. Refer to the vehicle diagnostic tester.
