Electronic Damping Component Overview
The body acceleration sensors may not be interchanged with each other.
1 Damping Adjustment Button (E387)
• Component location: In the center console, on the right side next to the shift lever.
• Explanation, refer to => [ Damping Adjustment Button E387 ] Description and Operation.
2 Shock Absorber with Right Rear Damping Adjustment Valve (N339)
• Removing and installing, refer to one of the following:
Front Wheel Drive (FWD), refer to => [ Shock Absorber, with Adaptive Chassis DCC ] Shock Absorber, with Adaptive Chassis DCC.
All Wheel Drive (AWD), refer to => [ Shock Absorber, with Adaptive Chassis DCC ] Shock Absorber, with Adaptive Chassis DCC.
3 Electronic Damping Control Module (J250)
• Component location: Behind the right side luggage compartment trim.
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Electronic Damping Control Module J250 ] Service and Repair.
• If the module was replaced, then a basic setting to the adaptive chassis DCC must be performed. Refer to => [ Adaptive Chassis DCC, Basic Setting ] Testing and Inspection.
• If a basic setting was performed on the adaptive chassis DCC on a vehicles with lane assist, then the directional stabilization assistance control module must be re-calibrated. Refer to => [ Lane Assist, Calibrating ] Lane Assist, Calibrating.
4 Rear Body Acceleration Sensor (G343)
• Component location: On the left rear shock absorber mount.
• Removing and installing, refer to one of the following:
FWD, refer to => [ Rear Body Acceleration Sensor G343 ] Rear Body Acceleration Sensor G343.
AWD, refer to => [ Rear Body Acceleration Sensor G343 ] Rear Body Acceleration Sensor G343.
5 Shock Absorber with Left Rear Damping Adjustment Valve (N338)
• Removing and installing, refer to one of the following:
FWD, refer to => [ Shock Absorber, with Adaptive Chassis DCC ] Shock Absorber, with Adaptive Chassis DCC.
AWD, refer to => [ Shock Absorber, with Adaptive Chassis DCC ] Shock Absorber, with Adaptive Chassis DCC.
6 Left Rear Level Control System Sensor (G76)
• Removing and installing, refer to one of the following:
FWD, refer to => [ Left Rear Level Control System Sensor, with Adaptive Chassis DCC ] Left Rear Level Control System Sensor, with Adaptive Chassis DCC.
AWD, refer to => [ Left Rear Level Control System Sensor G76, with Adaptive Chassis DCC ] Left Rear Level Control System Sensor G76, with Adaptive Chassis DCC.
• If the left rear level control system sensor was removed and then installed, then a basic setting to the adaptive chassis DCC must be performed. Refer to => [ Adaptive Chassis DCC, Basic Setting ] Testing and Inspection.
• If a basic setting was performed on the adaptive chassis DCC on a vehicles with lane assist, then the directional stabilization assistance control module must be re-calibrated. Refer to => [ Lane Assist, Calibrating ] Lane Assist, Calibrating.
Headlamp basic setting, refer to the vehicle diagnostic tester.
7 Left Front Body Acceleration Sensor (G341)
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Left Front Body Acceleration Sensor G341 ] Left Front Body Acceleration Sensor G341.
8 Shock Absorber with Left Front Damping Adjustment Valve (N336)
• Strut removing and Installing. Refer to => [ Strut, with Adaptive Chassis DCC ] Strut, with Adaptive Chassis DCC.
• Strut disassembly and assembly. Refer to => [ Strut ] Front Suspension.
9 Left Front Level Control System Sensor (G78) and Right Front Level Control Sensor (G289)
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Front Level Control System Sensors G78/G289, with Adaptive Chassis DCC ] Front Level Control System Sensors G78/G289, with Adaptive Chassis DCC.
• If the left and/or right front level control system sensors were removed and installed, then a basic setting to the adaptive chassis DCC must be performed. Refer to => [ Adaptive Chassis DCC, Basic Setting ] Testing and Inspection.
• If a basic setting was performed on the adaptive chassis DCC on a vehicles with lane assist, then the directional stabilization assistance control module must be re-calibrated. Refer to => [ Lane Assist, Calibrating ] Lane Assist, Calibrating.
Headlamp basic setting, refer to the vehicle diagnostic tester.
10 Shock Absorber with Right Front Damping Adjustment Valve (N337)

11 Right Front Body Acceleration Sensor (G342)
