- Pry the seals - 1 and 2 - out of the groove.

Only pry the seals out of the fitting with plastic tools, for example the trim removal wedge (3409). Do not use a screwdriver. It could cause leaks.

The clip is installed next. Follow the description exactly to avoid overstretching the clip.

Clip Installed Position

The guide - arrow - faces the connection - 2 -.

- Connect the supply and return lines to the connections on the transmission fluid cooler

When connecting, the clip engages audibly with a "click" in the groove on the connection - 1 -.

- Make sure the clip is seated correctly.

The clip must be seated completely in the groove on the coupling - 2 - and the connection - 1 -. Dimension - a - should be a maximum of 5 mm.

If the dimension is greater than 5 mm, the clip was overstretched and it must be replaced.

Do not bend the clip together. Otherwise the coupling could loosen later and transmission fluid could leak out.

- Check the transmission fluid level and add if necessary. Refer to => [ Transmission Fluid Level, Checking and Adding ] Transmission Fluid Level, Checking and Adding.
