Striker Pin, Adjusting

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque wrench (V.A.G 1332)

• Socket (3410)

• Adjustment gauge (3371)

• The following describes adjusting the right rear door only. Adjusting the left rear door is identical.

• When closing, the rear door must latch completely without having to press it and it must not have any play.

• The door must not be pushed up or down when adjusting the striker pin.






The striker pin can be used to adjust:

• If the rear door does not align to the rear side panel.

- Loosen the catch - 2 - by loosening the bolts - 1 -.

- Adjust rear door with striker pin - 2 - so that the rear door aligns with side panel when closed (wind noise).

- Tighten the bolts - 1 - for the striker pin - 2 -.

Screw - 1 - tightening specification: 20 Nm.
