Release Element

• If rear lid does not open, it can be opened by hand using the emergency release.

• The emergency release is behind the pass-through cover. Refer to => [ Rear Lid Emergency Release ] Rear Lid Emergency Release.

Removing






- Remove the rear lid trim panel.

- Disconnect harness connector - 2 - from unlocking element - 1 -.

- Remove the bolts - 3 -.

- Unlocking element - 1 - can be removed from rear lid.

Installation

Installation of unlocking element - 1 - is the same in reverse order.

Screw - 2 - tightening specification: 4 Nm.

• Perform a function test on the unlocking components before closing the rear lid.

• The rear lid is adjusted at the striker pin.
