New CSC Roof, Removing from Shipping Container
• A new CSC roof is delivered in a wooden box. The following steps are important for removing the roof from the shipping container.
• The shipping container must be opened with another technician.
- Remove securing bracket for upper cover and set cover aside.
- Remove the securing bracket on a side panel and and side panel aside. Remove all side panels in order to have sufficient space to move.
- Place the provided four wood beams - 2 - under the shipping container so that it is high enough to guide the workshop crane underneath.
- Guide Shop Crane (VAS 6100) - 1 - with Lift Arm Ext./Workshop Hoist (VAS 6101) - 4 - on marking - 8 - under transport box.
- Secure Roof Suspension Device (VAS 6205) - 5 -, extractor - 6 - with securing strap - 7 - and Shop Crane (VAS 6100) - 1 - with Lift Arm Ext./Workshop Hoist (VAS 6101) - 4 - on roof - 1 - in transport box according to description "CSC roof, removing".
• The roof is bolted into the shipping container and secured to avoid damage during transport.
• Do not open front locking mechanism by pivoting on rear window frame hinge. That leads to damage.
- Open roof pillar front locking mechanism - 2 - by pressing rear locking hooks - 1 - with hydraulic cylinder - arrow -.
- Remove screws on main hinge.
- Raise roof with workshop crane up and out of mounts in shipping container.
- Remove protective film.
