Fluid Reservoir With Dryer Cartridge

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• A/C Service Station (ROB 134APF)

• Rinsing Device For Refrigerant Circuits (VAS6337/1)

• Workshop Crane (VAS 6100)

• Engine Sling (2024 A)

Removal

- Extract refrigerant using (ROB 134APF) , only then open the refrigerant circuit. Refer to => [ Refrigerant Circuit Components ] Refrigerant Circuit Components.

- Move the lock carrier into the service position.






- Unscrew mounting bolts for cooler - arrows -.

- Hang cooler on (VAS 6100) and (2024 A) using workshop equipment (cable ties or welding wire) and unhook from lock carrier, coolant hoses and refrigerant lines remain connected.






- Unscrew mounting bolt - 2 - and remove retaining clip.


There is a danger of ice-up.

Refrigerant leaks out if refrigerant circuit is not discharged.

Refrigerant must be extracted before opening the refrigerant circuit. If refrigerant circuit is not opened within 10 minutes of extraction, pressure may form in refrigerant circuit due to evaporation. Extract refrigerant once more.

- Unscrew bolts - 1 - and pull fluid reservoir with dryer cartridge upward and out.

Installation

Install in reverse order of removal.

- Replace the O-rings.

• First tighten the bolts - 1 - to 4.2 ± 0.7 Nm and then the bolt - 2 -.

• When installing cooler, ensure that sealing strips are seated correctly on cooler.
