Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1331/) (5 to 50 Nm)

• A/C Service Station (ROB 134APF)

• Rinsing Device For Refrigerant Circuits (VAS6337/1)


There is a danger of ice-up.

Refrigerant leaks out if refrigerant circuit is not discharged.

Refrigerant must be extracted before opening the refrigerant circuit. If refrigerant circuit is not opened within 10 minutes after extracting, pressure may build up in refrigerant circuit by renewed evaporation. Extract refrigerant once more.






1 Fluid Reservoir With Dryer Cartridge

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Fluid Reservoir With Dryer Cartridge ] Fluid Reservoir With Dryer Cartridge.

Under certain conditions, fluid reservoir with dryer cartridge is no longer to be replaced after each time the refrigerant circuit is opened.

2 Compressor

Pay attention to notes for installing A/C compressor. Refer to=> [ A/C Compressor Installation Information ] Description and Operation.

3 Condenser

4 High Pressure Sensor (G65)

Removing and installing, refer to=> [ High Pressure Sensor (G65) ] Service and Repair.

5 Bracket

6 Evacuating and Charging Valve

• High pressure side.

• Environmentally hazardous draining of refrigerant is an offense punishable by law.
