Comfort System Central Control Module

Removing

- Switch off ignition, switch off all electrical consumers and remove ignition key.

- Remove glove compartment.

- Pull the retaining tab - 1 - on the comfort system central control module (J393) bracket in the - direction of the arrow - and slide the control module until the openings - 2 - are aligned above the openings - 3 -.





Electrical connections can only be disengaged and disconnected when recesses - arrows - and bracket line up exactly.





- Release and disconnect electrical connections from Comfort System Central Control Module (J393).

The number of electrical connections depends on vehicle equipment level and market version.

- Remove the nuts - arrows -.





- Remove bracket with Comfort System Central Control Module (J393).

- Pull retaining tab - 1 - in - direction of arrow B - and slide Comfort System Central Control Module (J393) - 2 - out of bracket in - direction of arrow A -.





Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

After installing a new Comfort System Central Control Module, it must be coded. Refer to => [ Comfort System Central Control Module, Coding ] Comfort System Central Control Module, Coding.

Harness connectors can only be connected and engaged when recesses - arrows - of harness connectors and bracket stand exactly over each other.
