Ribbed Belt Pulley without Free-Running Hub

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Socket (VAS 3310)

• Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1332)


When disconnecting and connecting the Battery, the procedure must be followed as described in the repair information. Refer to=> [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting.

Removal

- Remove the generator.

- Secure the generator in a vice by the mounting points.

- Remove the ribbed belt pulley nut from the generator shaft using the (VAS 3310).






Installation

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Tighten the threaded connections to the tightening specifications. Refer to => [ Fastener Tightening Specifications ] [1][2]Specifications.
