Selector Lever Cable through 02.2009, Checking
Short Description
To check the selector lever cable for ease of movement, remove it from the transmission and position the removed end so it does not make contact anywhere.
The selector lever moves and the selector lever cable will be attached again.
After that, the selector lever cable must be adjusted. Refer to => [ Selector Lever Cable, Adjusting ] Adjustments.
Do not grease the selector lever cable connection!
Perform the following procedure:
- Move the selector lever into the "P" position.
- Loosen the bolt - 2 - on the selector lever cable - 1 -.
- Pry the cable - 1 - off the selector shaft lever - 3 - using a open end wrench - 2 -.
- Press the catches - arrows - and remove the cable from the cable mounting bracket.
- Move the selector lever from "P" to "S" and back to "P" several times.
• The selector lever must move easily.
- Install the selector lever cable again.
- Adjust the selector lever cable!
