Shift Mechanism with Lever

• After installation, the selector lever cable movement must be checked and adjusted.

- Remove the selector lever cable from the transmission. Refer to => [ Selector Lever Cable through 02.2009 ] Selector Lever Cable through 02.2009.

- Remove the center console.

- Remove the selector lever cable from the transmission. Refer to => [ Selector Lever Cable through 02.2009 ] Selector Lever Cable through 02.2009.

- Remove the exhaust system components underneath the heat shield.

- Remove the heat shield under the selector mechanism.

- Remove the 4 nuts on the selector mechanism from above.

Tightening specification for the nuts: 8 Nm

- Remove the selector mechanism downward.

- Check the selector lever cable after installing. Refer to => [ Selector Lever Cable through 02.2009, Checking ] Testing and Inspection.
