CAUTION!
Move the selector lever into the "P" position and set the parking brake before working with the engine running.
1 Shift Cover with Handle
• Do not remove the handle unnecessarily. For emergency release, only the cover must be removed. Refer to => [ Selector Lever, Manual Release ] Selector Lever, Manual Release.
• Pull the button past its pressure point before removing the handle. Secure the button with a cable tie or some suitable wire. This prevents the button from being pushed back into the handle accidentally.
• If the button is pushed in:
- Just before installing, pull out button beyond the pressure point (sense this by touch).
2 Selector Lever and Selector Mechanism with Selector Lever Cable
• With the shift lock solenoid (N110).
• Do not grease the selector lever cable.

• Cable must not be removed from the selector mechanism and it is replaced together as a single component.
7 Transmission
