Wiring Harness with 14 Pin Connector

Removing

- Remove the transmission pan. Refer to => [ Transmission Fluid Pan ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the fluid filter. Refer to => [ Transmission Fluid Filter ] Service and Repair.

- Make a sketch, identical to the illustration, of all the sensors and solenoid valves and their connectors.

- Mark the solenoid valve and its connector before disconnecting them.

CAUTION!
Always make a drawing or take a picture and make identifying markings, so that the connectors for the sensors and the solenoid valves do not get confused when installing the wiring harness.

Confusing the connectors could cause damage to the transmission.





- Carefully pry out the connector tabs on the solenoid valves - 2 through 9 - using a small screwdriver and then disconnect the connectors.

- The wiring harness or the valve body with the solenoid valves must be replaced if the one of the connectors gets damaged.

- Disconnect the connector - 2 - from the transmission.





- Remove the bolt from the 14 pin transmission connector.

- Remove the connector and the wiring harness from the transmission housing.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.

- Replace the O-ring on the connector.

- Push the connector all the way into the transmission.

- Tighten the bolt for the 14 pin transmission connector. Tightening specification, refer to => [ Fastener Tightening Specifications ] Fastener Tightening Specifications.

- Tighten the bolts for the bracket for the RPM sensor connectors. Tightening specification, refer to => [ Fastener Tightening Specifications ] Fastener Tightening Specifications.

- Tighten the bolts on the bracket for the transmission fluid temperature sensor (G93). Tightening specification, refer to => [ Fastener Tightening Specifications ] Fastener Tightening Specifications.

- Install the fluid filter. Refer to => [ Transmission Fluid Filter ] Service and Repair.

- Install the transmission pan. Refer to => [ Transmission Fluid Pan ] Service and Repair.
