Wiring Harness with 8 Pin Connector

Removing

- Remove the transmission pan. Refer to => [ Transmission Fluid Pan ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the fluid filter. Refer to => [ Transmission Fluid Filter ] Service and Repair.

- Disconnect the connectors from the automatic transmission hydraulic pressure sensor 1 (G193) - 1 - and the automatic transmission hydraulic pressure sensor 2 (G194) - 4 -, if equipped.

Sensors - 1 and 4 - are not installed in every transmission.





- Disconnect the connectors - 2 and 5 -.

- Replace the wiring harness or the transmission input speed sensor (G182) or the transmission output speed sensor (G195) if one of the connectors gets damaged.

- Remove the bolt - 6 -.

- Pay attention when attaching the bracket to the transmission fluid temperature sensor (G93) - 7 -.

- Carefully remove the transmission fluid temperature sensor - 7 - together with the bracket from the valve body.

- Disengage the wiring harness on the bracket - 8 -.

- Disconnect the connector - 1 - from the transmission.





- Remove the bolt from the 8 pin transmission connector.

- Remove the connector and the wiring harness from the transmission housing.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.

- Replace the O-ring on the connector.

- Push the connector all the way into the transmission.

- Tighten the bolt for the 8 pin transmission connector. Tightening specification, refer to => [ Fastener Tightening Specifications ] Fastener Tightening Specifications.

- Tighten the bolts on the bracket for the transmission fluid temperature sensor. Tightening specification, refer to => [ Fastener Tightening Specifications ] Fastener Tightening Specifications.

- Install the fluid filter. Refer to => [ Transmission Fluid Filter ] Service and Repair.

- Install the transmission pan. Refer to => [ Transmission Fluid Pan ] Service and Repair.
