Anti-Theft Immobilizer

General Information

The vehicle has a fourth generation immobilizer.

Modifications from Immobilizer 3:

It is no longer possible to perform adaptation on components originating from other Konzern brands in Volkswagen vehicles.

Vehicle keys are pre-programmed with a basic coding by the manufacturer. This basic coding contains a specific manufacturer code. The adaptation of keys to a vehicle is only still possible when the correct manufacturer code is programmed.

On Board Diagnostic Function

The immobilizer is equipped with On Board Diagnostic (OBD) capabilities which aids in troubleshooting.

Use the "Guided Fault Finding" operating mode on the for fault finding.

Anti-Theft Immobilizer Control Module

The Anti-theft Immobilizer Control Module (J362 ) is integrated into the instrument cluster. If the Anti-Theft Immobilizer Control Module (J362) is faulty, the entire instrument cluster must be replaced. Refer to => [ Instrument Cluster ] Instrument Cluster.

Anti-Theft Immobilizer Reading Coil

The Induction Coil of Anti-theft Immobilizer (D2 ) is connected to the ignition/starter switch and cannot be replaced individually.
