Rear Lid

Removing

- Remove the rear lid trim.

- Remove the rear lid window frame trim.

- Disconnect connectors in rear lid.

- Loosen the boots - 1 - and guide the electrical wires - 5 - through the opening and out of the rear lid.





- Loosen the bolts - 3 - in the hinge - 2 - but do not remove.

• A second technician is required for the rest of the removal procedure.

- Remove the gas-filled strut - 4 -. Refer to--> [ Gas-Filled Strut ] Gas-Filled Strut.

- Remove bolts - 3 -.

- Remove the rear lid from the hinge.

Installing

• Installation is only possible with a second technician.

- Carefully position the rear lid on the hinge.

- Install screws - 3 -.





- Guide the electrical wires - 5 - through the opening in the rear lid and secure the boots - 1 -.

- Adjust the rear lid, refer to--> [ Adjusting Rear Lid ] Adjusting Rear Lid and tighten the bolts - 3 -, tightening specification: 10 Nm.

- Install the gas-filled strut - 4 -.

- Install the rear lid trim.

- Install the rear lid window frame trim.

- Check the rear lid adjustment. Refer to --> [ Adjusting Rear Lid ] Adjusting Rear Lid.
