2022741 Supersedes T.B. Group 26 number 10-01 dated March 10, 2010 to correctly identify rear oxygen sensor as -G130-.





Vehicle Information

MIL ON or Flashing, Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCS) P0136, P0139 or P2271 Stored in ECM Fault Memory





The following DTCs may be stored in ECM Fault Memory:

Improved ECM software calibration released to stabilize 02 sensor diagnosis. 02 sensor diagnosis too sensitive and corruption of rear 02 sensor causing MIL ON with faults P0136, P0139, & P2271 present.

2009 Model Year ONLY: Replace Oxygen sensor -G130- Bank 1, Sensor 2 to repair vehicle with listed faults.

2010 Model Year Only: Replace Oxygen sensor -G130- Bank 1, Sensor 2 to repair vehicle with listed faults, and update program ECM using Software Version Management (SVM).

No production change required.

Service

2009 Model Year Vehicles ONLY:

Diagnose vehicle to verify fault codes.

If the following faults are stored in the ECM fault memory:

^ Replace Bank 1, Sensor 2 Oxygen sensor and tighten to 52 Nm (38 ft. lbs.), see Repair manual Group 26 Description and Operation.

Tip

Lubricate the Oxygen sensor thread with hot bolt paste -G 052 112 A3- only, DO NOT let the paste get into the slots on the oxygen sensor body.

2010 Model Year Vehicles Only:

Diagnose vehicle to verify fault codes.

If the following faults are stored in the ECM fault memory:

^ Replace Bank 1, Sensor 2 Oxygen sensor and tighten to 52 Nm (38 ft. lbs.), see Repair manual Group 26 Description and Operation.

^ Continue to Update Programming.

^ Update the Engine Control Module using the SVM Unit code as listed in the table.
