Clutch Assembly Overview, LuK

• Make sure centering sleeves for engine to transmission are installed in cylinder block, install if necessary.

• If centering sleeves are not installed, shifting difficulties, clutch problems and possibly noise in transmission (loose gear rattling) will occur.





1 Dual-mass flywheel

• Make sure centering pins are in place and seated correctly

• Contact surface for clutch lining must be free of grooves, oil and grease

2 Clutch plate

• Removing and installing --> [ Clutch, LuK ] Clutch, LuK.

• Only replace together with SAC pressure plate

• Installed location --> [ Installation Position of Clutch Plate ] Clutch, LuK

3 SAC pressure plate

• SAC = "Self Adjusting Clutch"

• Check and, if necessary, reset self-adjusting pressure plate adjusting ring on "LuK" clutches --> [ Self-Adjusting Pressure Plate Adjusting Ring, New LuK Clutch, Checking
and Resetting ] Procedures.

• Removing and installing --> [ Clutch, LuK ] Clutch, LuK.

• Checking ends of diaphragm spring --> [ Checking Ends of Diaphragm Spring ] Clutch, LuK

• Check spring connection and rivet connections --> [ Checking Ends of Diaphragm Spring ] Clutch, LuK

4 Bolt M6, 13 Nm

• Loosen and tighten in diagonal sequence and in stages
