Fastener Tightening Specifications

Accessory Bracket Bolt Tightening Sequence and Specification





- Position the accessory bracket and then install the bolt - 4 -. Tighten the bolts in 3 passes in the sequence - 1 through 5 - shown:

- First pass, tighten the bolts by hand.

- Second pass, tighten the bolts to 20 Nm.

- Final pass, tighten the bolts an additional 90° (1/ 4 turn).

Transmission Side Sealing Flange Bolt Tightening Sequence and Specification





- Tighten the bolts in 2 passes in sequence - 1 through 8 - as shown:

- First pass, tighten the bolts by hand.

- Final pass, tighten the bolts to 9 Nm.

Crankshaft Bearing Cap Bolt tightening Sequence and Specification





- Tighten the crankshaft bearing cap bolts in sequence - 1 through 10 - as shown:

- Tighten the bolts - 1 through 10 - and - arrows - by hand.

- Tighten the bolts - 1 through 10 - to 65 Nm.

- Tighten the bolts - 1 through 10 - an additional 90°.

- Tighten the bolts - arrows - to 20 Nm.

- Tighten the bolts - arrows - an additional 90°.
