Engine, Securing to Assembly Stand

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Engine sling (2024A)

• Shop crane (VAS 6100)

• Engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095)

Conditions

• Engine/transmission assembly removed and mounted to the (T10359).

Procedure

- Separate the transmission from the engine. Refer to --> [ Engine and Transmission, Separating and Assembling ] Engine and Transmission, Separating and Assembling.

- Install the (2024A) as shown and lift the engine using the (VAS 6100) from the (VAG 1383A).





CAUTION:
Use securing pins - arrows - to secure the hooks and pins to prevent damaging the engine.

- Secure the engine to the (VAS 6095).
