Headlamps Mounting Tabs, Repairing

If upper - 1 -, outer - 2 - or lower headlamp securing tab - 3 - is damaged or broken off, these can be replaced by installing repair kit. It is not necessary to replace the entire headlamp.





• Check whether there is no further damage on the headlamp that makes installation of the repair set superfluous.

• There are two different repair sets, for the left and the right headlamp.

• Each repair set respectively contains the upper, the outer and the lower headlamp mounting tab, four mounting bolts, a metal nut pre-mounted on the upper mounting tab and an adjustment bushing pre-mounted on the outer and the lower headlamp mounting tab respectively.

Upper Mounting Tab, Repairing

- Switch off ignition, switch off all electrical consumers and remove ignition key.

- Remove headlamp. Refer to --> [ Headlamps ] Headlamps.

- Remove the old headlamp mounting tab - 1 - completely from headlamp.





- Insert new mounting tab - 2 - formfitting onto mounting tab socket on headlamp - 4 - and tighten mounting bolt - 3 -.





• Metal nut - 1 - is already pre-mounted onto the new mounting tab - 2 -.

- Install headlamp. Refer to --> [ Headlamps ] Headlamps.

- Check and correct headlamp adjustment, if necessary.

Outer Mounting Tab, Repairing

- Switch off ignition, switch off all electrical consumers and remove ignition key.

- Remove headlamp. Refer to --> [ Headlamps ] Headlamps.

- Remove the old headlamp mounting tab - arrow - completely from headlamp.





- Position the new mounting tab - 3 - on the headlamp tab base - 1 - and tighten the mounting bolt - 2 -.





• Adjustment bushing - 4 - is already pre-mounted onto the new mounting tab - 3 -.

- Install headlamp. Refer to --> [ Headlamps ] Headlamps.

- Check and correct headlamp adjustment, if necessary

Lower Mounting Tab, Repairing

- Switch off ignition, switch off all electrical consumers and remove ignition key.

- Remove headlamp. Refer to --> [ Headlamps ] Headlamps.

- Remove the old headlamp mounting tab - arrow - completely from headlamp.





- Insert new mounting tab - 3 - formfitting onto mounting tab socket on headlamp - 1 - and tighten mounting bolt - 2 -.





- Then tighten the mounting bolt - 5 - on the rear side.

• Adjustment bushing - 4 - is already pre-mounted onto the new mounting tab - 3 -.

- Install headlamp. Refer to --> [ Headlamps ] Headlamps.

- Check and correct headlamp adjustment, if necessary.
