Electric and Electronic Component Locations

Most DSG electric/electronic components are located in the transmission.

Only the Selector Lever Sensor System Control Module (J587) and Shift Lock Solenoid (N110) are located on selector lever.





1 Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) Mechatronic (J743)

• Behind large panel cover

• Removing and installing with transmission installed --> [ Mechatronic, with Transmission Installed ] Mechatronic, with Transmission Installed.

• Removing and installing with transmission removed --> [ Mechatronic, with Transmission Removed ] Mechatronic, with Transmission Removed

2 Transmission Input Speed (RPM) Sensor (G182) and Clutch Oil Temperature Sensor (G509)

• Before sensor can be removed, Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) Mechatronic (J743) must be removed --> [ Mechatronic, with Transmission Installed ] Mechatronic, with Transmission Installed
