At the time of publication, new Jetta models for the US/CDN markets are equipped with either the semi-automatic "Climatic" A/C system, or the automatic "Climatronic" A/C system. The information contained in the following section specifically pertains to a non-A/C heating and ventilation system offered in other markets. However, the removal and installation procedures of air vents, air ducts and other components described here may also apply to both the "Climatic" and "Climatronic" systems.

Before troubleshooting or servicing, technicians must be familiar with the functions and operation specifics of the standard or optional heating and ventilation system or A/C system. Always read the owners manual and review applicable system functions.
