Headlamps, Retrofitting for Left or Right Hand Drive Traffic

• To prevent dazzling by asymmetrical low beams, both headlamps must be converted to the traffic direction in the corresponding country.

• Corresponding headlamp retrofit set consists of two foils each.

• The retrofit of the main headlamp is not suitable for long term use in other countries, rather only as short term "tourist solution" during an extended visit to another country.

• Both vehicle main headlamps must always be retrofitted.

• The labels "right" and "left" on the cover foils always refer to the view forward from the vehicle.

• Headlight conversion set consists of two foils.

• Pay attention to the different replacement numbers for headlamp retrofit sets for right-hand traffic to left-hand traffic and left-hand traffic to right-hand traffic.

• Clean headlamp diffusion lenses before the retrofit.

- Turn light switch into "0" position.

- Clean headlamp diffusion lens.

Left headlamp:

- Remove protective foil on rear side of installation foil - D - only in area - C -.

- Align lower edge of installation foil - D - with line - B - on headlamp lens.

- Align lower edge of installation foil - D - at the same time with radius at line - A - on headlamp lens.

- Press area - C - firmly onto headlamp diffusion lens.

- Carefully pull off installation foil - D - again from diffusion lens.

- Cover oil - C - remains on the headlamp diffusion lens.

• Any remaining residue should be removed with an alcohol- or alcohol-water-based cleaning solution. For example, a cloth moistened with isopropyl alcohol.

• Customer should be informed of the instructions to remove adhesive residue after pulling off the cover layer.

• Headlight conversion set consists of two foils.

• Pay attention to the different replacement numbers for headlamp retrofit sets for right-hand traffic to left-hand traffic and left-hand traffic to right-hand traffic.

• Clean headlamp lens before converting.

• After removing cover foil from lens, remove adhesive residue from headlamp.

- Turn light switch into "0" position.

- Clean headlamp diffusion lens.

Left headlamp:

- Remove protective foil on rear side of installation foil - D - only in area - C -.
