EVAP System Function Overview





1 Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister

• Component location: Bottom of the spare the wheel well.

• EVAP system assembly overview, refer to --> [ EVAP System Assembly Overview ] Service and Repair.

2 Adapter Hose (KLI 9210/55-1) Installation Location

• Checking fuel supply system for leaks, refer to --> [ Fuel System, Checking for Leaks ] Fuel System, Checking for Leaks.

• Fuel system leak test, refer to --> [ Fuel System Leak Test ] Fuel System Leak Test.

3 EVAP Canister Purge Regulator Valve 1 (N80)

• Component location: refer to --> [ Intake Manifold Assembly Overview ] Intake Manifold Assembly Overview.

4 Vent Line

• To the non return valve on the lower fuel rail.

5 Solenoid Valve

• For the Leak detection Pump (LDP).

6 Vacuum Line

• To the vacuum pump.

7 Air Filter Housing

• for the LDP.

8 Leak Detection Pump (LDP) (V144)

• Component location: Under the wheel housing liner in the right rear wheel housing.

• EVAP system assembly overview, refer to --> [ EVAP System Assembly Overview ] Service and Repair.

9 Fuel Tank

• Fuel tank and attachments assembly overview, refer to --> [ Fuel Tank and Attachments Assembly Overview ] Fuel Tank and Attachments Assembly Overview.

10 Cap

• Replace if damaged.
