Satellite Tuner Antenna

Removing

CAUTION!
• Switch off all electrical consumers.

• Switch ignition off and remove ignition key.

- Remove upper rear window trim and both C-pillar trim

- Remove both rear grab handles at roof.

- Carefully lower molded headliner slightly in rear area.

Depending on system, the Satellite Tuner Antenna ( R172) uses either 2 or 4 antenna cables. These are fastened to the roof cross-member.

- Remove foam pad - 5 -.





- Disconnect electrical connections - 1 - through - 4 - and set aside antenna cables.

- Remove nut - 2 - (7 Nm) and remove roof antenna.





- Disconnect electrical connections in antenna cables/wires and remove roof antenna.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

• When installing roof antenna, ensure seal is seated properly. Both guide tabs of seal must align with holes - arrows - in antenna base.





• When inserting roof antenna, make sure antenna wires - 1 - are routed correctly through the wire pass-through in mounting nut - 2 -.
