Roof Molding
Removing
- Using the Trim Removal Wedge (T10039/1), pry the front and rear roof rail cover - 1 - in the - direction of the arrow -.
- Pull up the front and rear roof rail cover - 1 - in - direction of arrow A - and press in - direction of arrow B -.
- Remove the roof rail cover - 1 -.
- Remove the bolt - 3 - on the front and rear roof rail mount - 2 - (20 Nm).
- Remove the center cover - 1 - from the roof rail - 3 - in the - direction of the arrow -.
- Remove the bolt - 2 - on the center roof rail mount - 3 - (20 Nm).
Installing
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
Check for the roof railing cover for damage and replace if necessary.
Side Panel Trim Molding, GLI
Removing
- Remove the bolts - 1 - (Torx(R) T25) from the body.
- Remove the side panel trim molding - 2 - in the - direction of the arrow -.
If Equipped
- Slide the retaining track - 2 - forward and loosen as specified - arrow -.
- Remove damaged bolts - 1 -.
• The replacement part number for bolts - 1 - is different from the production number. Contact the replacement parts department.
Installing
- Clean the side panel and retaining track to remove adhesive residue. Isopropyl alcohol is recommended.
If Equipped
- Screw in bolts - 1 -. Tightening specification: 1.2 ± 0.1 Nm
- Install the retaining track - 2 - while ensuring all bolts fit in the holes and slide the track forward.
All Vehicles
- Lay the side panel trim molding - 2 - over the retaining track - 4 - beginning at the rear.
- Secure the front side of the side panel trim molding - 2 - with a bolt - 1 -. Tightening torque: 2 ±0.5 Nm.
- Remove the protective film - 3 - from the double-sided tape on the side panel trim molding - 2 - using a wedge.
- Secure the side panel trim molding - 2 - by pressing it onto the body.
- Install the remaining bolts - 1 - (Qty. 3). Tightening specification: 2 ± 0.5 Nm
