Pressure Leak Test

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Brake pressure gauge 0-250 bar (VAG 1310A)

• M10 adapter (VAG 1310/6)

Test Prerequisites

The brake system (hydraulic unit, brake hoses/lines, and brake calipers) operating properly and free of leaks.

- Loosen the bleeder screw at one front brake caliper. Connect the (VAG 1310 A) and bleed.

- Apply pressure to the brake pedal until the gauge indicates a pressure of 50 bar. The pressure must not drop by more than 4 bar during the test period of 45 seconds. Replace master cylinder if pressure drops greatly.
