CYLINDER HEADCylinder Head Cover Bolt Tightening Sequence and Specification
Tighten the cylinder head cover bolts - 1 through 16 - in the sequence shown to 10 Nm.
Cylinder Head Bolt Tightening Sequence and Specification
Tighten the cylinder head bolts - 1 through 12 - in the sequence shown as follows:
Then tighten the bolts - 13 - to 10 Nm.
HEAD BOLT REUSE/REPLACE
Replace the cylinder head bolts.
Insert clean cloths into the cylinders and chain compartment so that no dirt or abrasive powder can penetrate between the cylinder wall and piston and into the chain compartment.
Do not allow dirt or abrasive powder to get into the coolant either.
Carefully clean the cylinder head and cylinder block sealing surfaces. Avoid introducing scratches or scoring (do not use sandpaper with grit below 100).
Carefully remove any metal particles, emery remains and cloths.
Cut the tube nozzle at the front marking (diameter of nozzle approximately 1 mm).
INTAKE MANIFOLD
Intake manifold to cylinder head 9 Nm
CAMSHAFT BEARING CAP
bearing caps 2 and 4 with new bolts.
Fasten bearing caps 2 and 4, alternating in a diagonal sequence to 8 Nm + +90° (1/4 turn).
bearing caps 5, 1 and 3 to 8 Nm + +90° (1/ 4 turn).
MAIN BEARING CAP
Crankshaft Bearing Cap Bolt 1 40 Nm + 90 degrees Turn
ROD BEARING CAP
Bolt 30 Nm + 90° (1/4 additional turn)
CRANKSHAFT PULLEY
Crankshaft Pulley/Vibration Damper Bolt 1 50 Nm + 90 degrees Turn
FLYWHEEL/FLEX PLATE
Drive Plate/Flywheel Bolt 1 60 Nm + 90 degree turn
OIL PUMP
Oil Pump to Cylinder Block 25 Nm
Tightening specification: 20 Nm + 90° (1/4 turn) additional turn
EXHAUST MANIFOLD
Nut 25 Nm
WATER PUMP
Coolant Pump to Cylinder Block 10 Nm
