Footwell Lights

The Left Footwell Light (W9)/ Right Footwell Light (W10) are removed and installed the same way so the procedure is only described for one of them.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Trim removal wedge (VAS 3409)

CAUTION!
• Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

• Remove ignition key.

• When removing and installing components in a visible area (switches, covers, trim, etc.), mask off the areas at which a prying tool (VAS 3409), screwdriver) will be positioned, using commercially available adhesive tape.

Removing

- Pry the left footwell light out of the trim below the instrument panel using the (VAS 3409).





- Disconnect electrical connection - arrow -.





Bulb, replacing

- Disengage the retaining tabs - 1 - and remove the heat shield - 2 - from the Glove Compartment Light (W9) lens.





- Carefully pry bulb from socket.





- Replace bulb (12V, 5 W).

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.
